Assemblymember Quirk brings vision care services to Union City families
HAYWARD – California State Assemblymember Bill Quirk, in partnership with Union City Kid Zone and VSP, provided over 50 vouchers for vison care services to children, seniors, and families in Union City.
“I am proud to once again partner with these great organizations. Bringing this service has been so critical to many families at Kid Zone,” said Assemblymember Quirk. “Vision directs everything we do and taking care of your vision and making sure our children have their visual needs met is vital for overall health,” he concluded.
Assemblymember Quirk has partnered with VSP annually since 2013 to bring vision care services to underserved children and families. VSP is a vision care insurance provider whose mission is to bring visual wellness through affordable, accessible, and high quality eye care insurance. Assemblymember Quirk and VSP are committed to helping people see and improving their quality of life.
Elected in 2012, Bill Quirk brings his PhD in astrophysics and career as an educator and scientist to the State Assembly. He is the Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on California’s Clean Energy Economy, and a member of the Assembly Committees on Agriculture, Appropriations, Public Safety, Revenue & Taxation, Rules, and Utilities & Commerce.
