Come find true love this Valentine’s Day at the Hayward Animal Shelter.

I am proud to partner once again with the Hayward Animal Shelter to host our ANNUAL ALL FUR LOVE Pet Adoption Day.

We will be offering FREE pet adoptions to qualified homes!

Come and learn about how to adopt a pet, proper pet care, animal safety laws and updates on current legislation protecting pets.

Also, in honor of the 23rd annual World Spay Day we will be offering vouchers for free & reduced cost spay/neutering services for existing pet owners.

Please join me for the 9th Annual Jingle Tails on Tuesday, December 13, starting at 5:30 p.m. I'm hosting the event in partnership with the Oakland Zoo and the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Just go to the Main Gate area of the Oakland Zoo located at 9777 Golf Links Road in Oakland. Families will receive free admission to the zoo. We encourage you to bring a food donation.

According to Alameda County Community Food Bank, one in six Alameda County residents rely on the donations provided at the food bank – roughly 50,000 people per week. You can help end hunger in Alameda County by donating a can of tuna, a jar of peanut butter or other non-perishable food item at the Jingle Tails Holiday Event.

This year's much anticipated ZooLights will feature larger-than-life, energy-efficient LED light displays and holiday music at more than 120 animal structures. Thanks to ZooLights' green technology, you can enjoy the festivities and the light displays that mirror the Oakland Zoo's year-round animal residents.
